Well, this is it. We are heading back to w*rk!! W*rkamping that is. Today we’ll make our way to Wild Duck Campground where we’ll begin helping Chris and Jen in getting the campground up and running for the 2011 season. They are already open for business, but there’s still a lot of “winter residual stuff” to get rid off as the campground wakes up from it’s long winter’s nap.
If ya gotta w*rk, this is the only way to go. We’ll w*rk three or four, four hour days a week (ruff) doing what ever needs to be done. Some of it may be a little physical, but we (I) could stand a little physical activity. We’re looking forward to it and think we’ll enjoy our six week stay at Wild Duck.
It was nice to get back into the swing of things at our church of long past. Actually, we’ve picked up right where we left off almost fourteen years ago. We both enjoyed our Sunday School classes. Sandy’s sermon/teaching was on prayer. He’s using the Gospel of Luke as a guide in showing us different “models of daily prayer”. Sandy ended his sermon by saying, “Don’t make it difficult, just do it!” This will be an ongoing series as we cover the entire Gospel of Luke.
We spent the rest of the day huddled in our nest. It was sunny outside, but a little chilly – wouldn’t have been as bad if it weren’t for the wind. Today will be sunny and cool as well with rain in the forecast for the next three days. Not exactly what we want to hear; if we’re not careful, our tans will fade.
Well, it’s time to “get a wiggle on”. Moving day and we have the “pack up and go” things to get accomplished. We’ll have some pictures of Wild Duck Campground tomorrow, so be sure to “come back, ya hear?”
