Yesterday was just another shopping day. We managed to get Brian’s birthday gifts, but we’ll have to finish up his Christmas shopping when we get back to Alabama. Other than that, we stopped by our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area, First Wok. We did a drive by of our old house and then it was home again, home again.
Here’s a picture of our “throw away ranch” that we owned when we lived in Mt. Pleasant from 2004 to 2006. We called it a “throw away ranch” because we bought it cheap with the intention of turning it over quickly. We did that, but at a loss due to realtor fees – we actually sold the house for a few thousand more than we bought it for. The house was in a good area and had two and a half acres of land – mostly lawn. The driveway was a hundred feet long which made it quite a job to snow blow during the winter months.
The deer were out last night, however, not all together. One of the bucks came running across the back yard and another one walked through a little later. We’re still hoping to get a group shot over the next week.
Today we go back to Grand Rapids to take Brian for an outing. We’re going to the John Ball Zoo so there should be plenty of pictures tomorrow.

Yup - that looks like some serious snow blowing work. I hope you bought Judy a nice snowblower when you lived there!
ReplyDeleteShe had a John Deere 10 horse with a 38" auger. Did a real nice job until we'd get wet heavy snow which was common place in central Michigan.
