This Ain’t Your Father’s Sunday

It’s Sunday and it’s a w*rk day.  The clock started leaking all over the nightstand at oh four hundred hours.  Yawn!!!  This schedule certainly has our fur kids all messed up.  Alex likes being the alarm katt and is not happy that something has usurped his authority; thereby, he makes a nuisance of himself by getting in the way and acting up.  Katie, on the other hand, just sits there and stares wondering if she’s supposed to be getting up or going to bed.

Oh well, such is life.  We continue w*rking five hour shifts for today and tomorrow, have three days off, and then start ten hour shifts on Black Friday – now we know why they named it Black Friday.  After tomorrow, we’ll only have 16 more w*rk days which is 160 w*rk hours, 9600 w*rk minutes, or 576,000 w*rk seconds – but who’s counting.  This, too, shall pass!!

Being that we had yesterday off, we took the opportunity to clean up the house, make a lasagna dinner, and have the neighbors over.  It’s sooooooo nice to have Thurman and Phyllis next door.  They were one of the bright spots of workamping at Lake George Escape.  And, they were the main reason that we were enticed to come here and w*rk at Amazon.com.  We had a real nice enjoyable evening together.  By the way, we’ll be spending Thanksgiving with them, as well as other co-w*rkers, at a local restaurant.

  2. Watch out Darrell, that first 10 hour shift is a doozy! Fairly amusing, your alarm clock is going off about 15 minutes before I get back to my trailer! LOL, no wonder we don't see much of each other even though we are in the same campground.
