Don and Jenny J arrived at Rainbow Plantation yesterday so we had them over for the traditional travel day dinner. What a fun time it was chatting, laughing, and eating our way through the evening.
Don and Jenny live in the mountains of northeastern Tennessee. Unlike Davy Crockett, they actually live on a mountain top in Tennessee (Davy was actually born in a valley along side of a river). There are a lot of popular attractions within striking distance of their home – Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, Gatlinburg, and Ashville just to mention a few. They have us convinced that we need to stay at least a week on our trek toward the Northeast this coming spring/summer.
They’ll be spending at least a week here at the Plantation so we’ll have some opportunity to get together with them for a few outings. There’s quite a bit to see and do right here in LA so I’m sure that we can them keep busy. We’ll be sure to get some pictures to post on the blog.
Randy and Terry will arrive Monday and Mike and Peggy (“My name Peggy”) are busy packing their bags to make their winter escape from the Pine Tree State. Yep, more great times are heading our way.
