Well now, what can I say? We didn’t even leave the Plantation yesterday. I had mentioned the beach, but being that it was a Friday, and Thunder on the Gulf was taking place, we decided to stay out of the fracas. Although, it would have been a good photo op with all those “cigarette boats” gunning their way along the coast at speeds up to 90 MPH. But, alas, we didn’t go; we just “stood” at home where it was peaceful and quiet.
Judy worked on cutting out the batting for the Man Quilt while I did paint touch up work on the coach. Last year, while we were at the Escapade in Elkhart, Indiana, we stopped by the Cedar Creek manufacturing plant and picked up some touch up paint (among other things). I need to put on a second coat and then one more item will be stricken from the Ol’ Ta Do List. “Another one bites the dust.”
With this great weather you just know that we did some sitting around outside in our loungers. Alex came out for awhile and then it was time for the bookworms to take over. I’ve been reading my way through the Anna Pigeon series by Nevada Barr. Judy is reading another Karen Kingsbury book while she’s waiting impatiently for the latest Debbie Macomber book to become available for downloading to her Nook.
This morning we’ll start the day with our friends at “Bagels and Coffee”. Each Saturday morning someone hosts the “Bagels and Coffee” time on their lawn. It lasts for about an hour and a half beginning at 7:30 AM. Everyone is welcome to attend, just look for the Pink Flamingos in the front yard – that the identifying sign for the hosts. It’s just another one of those good times that takes place here at the Plantation.
Well, the bagels are burning so we’d better get going. Take Care Until Next Time - - - - - - -
