Darrell And Judy’s Big Move

Thank God for coffee!!!!  It was after 0630 this morning before Miss Judy and I rolled outta the sack and we were moving vewy, vewy slowly.  We had “stood up” until after 2300 hours last night; as you can guess, we w*rked the “second shift” yesterday.  Those hours are just plain contrary to our normal body rhythms.

Anywhoo, the weather here in northern Michigan has been just plain fantastic.  It’s been in the high seventies with lots of sunshine and blue skies during the day and bright starry skies in the fifties at night.  Alex says it’s just purrrr-fect.  Based on what the nation has been experiencing – wild fires in the west, wild storms and high heat in the east.  All we can say is, “Come on up!”

We had an uneventful travel day yesterday, but no one offered us a travel day meal. Sad smile  It was the shortest travel day ever.  We pulled out of our old site, drove two coach lengths down the road, and backed into our new site on the opposite side of the road.  We had an audience being that Magnus Park is practically full.  The neighbors gave us an A+ for backing skills in that things are a little tight around here with so many vehicles and this site is about half the size of the one we left (a little tighter to back into).

You know what?  It takes almost as much work to break down and set up whether you’re moving across the street or 300 miles down the road.  The katts were totally worn out after the move.  They made their way to the sofa for a nice katt nap.  And, guess what?  We have television, no sewer, but TV!!!  We’ll only be in this site for a week then we get to move back into a full hook up site for a week (no TV) followed by another week in this site.  Then we get to move up to the front row, with beautiful views across the bay, full hook ups, and television, for the rest of our stay – who says you can’t have it all?

Well, that’s it for now. Time for another cup of Joe. So Take Care and May God Bless - - - - - - - -

  1. Carol and I are thrilled to hear you guys were successful in completing such a strenuous move. We were concerned that this one would give you problems. We would have offered a travel day meal but since we are a few miles apart, we had baked Tuna Steak in your honor. I can say it was good enough that I'll fix it again.
Life is good in Blue Ridge, GA as well.
