What a sad sight, seeing our playmates pulling out to hit the road. Mark and Dortha departed around 8:30.
With Glenn and Sylvia leaving about a half hour later.
We hauled a.., eh, tail around 9:30. It was a great week and we all enjoyed ourselves. We really missed the Curps, the Guilers, the Joneses, and the Paynes; they would have added greatly to the flavor of our little rendezvous in Maine. Sorry guys, it’s too late to go now because we ate all the seafood. You’ll just have to visit Maine next year.
Our drive through “New Hampstir” was relatively short and uneventful.
We bumped into Glenn and Sylvia at a rest stop on I-93 just south of Concord before arriving at Seven Maples Campground around 12:30.
So now we are hunkered down for five nights where we will spend time getting grand children fixes before heading out on a week and a half trip with Briana (our oldest grand daughter).
Well, I guess that’s it for today. Remember to live life to the fullest, laugh often, and love a lot. Until tomorrow. . . .
Love seeing the pics of the grandkids. You guys look great, too! The Maine Event certainly seems to have agreed with you.
ReplyDeleteAnd Judy. That Brianna sure looks a lot like you!
Love those grand kid fixes! That is the one and only hardest thing being on the road, especially now that school has started. Luckily, we are able to stay near them, off and on, during the year but I still miss them when we take off on trips!
