Have you ever been so tired that you had to take a nap just to get enough energy to go to bed? We woke up late yesterday morning and were very slow in moving; had about zero for energy. It’s a good thing that Katie posted yesterday’s blog entry because my mind was absolutely mush.
The highlight of the morning was the rye toast I had for breakfast with the “real” butter we’d picked up at Cabot Cheese. It’s whey butter and it’s waaay better than anything I’ve ever tasted – ummm, ummm, goood!
After we were able to get ourselves in gear, we went downtown Burlington to see the sights. Church Street has been closed off to traffic and has been turned it into a mall that covers six blocks. There is, also, an inside mall that houses many of the name brand stores that you would find in malls across America.
The fun part was seeing all the attractions along the sidewalk. The sidewalk cafes, the cute little shops, and the decorated cows along with live entertainment here and there.
After romping the streets for a couple of hours we returned home for the rest of the afternoon to relax, swim, and watch an evening movie (Runaway Bride). Not an entirely exciting day but fun in any event.
Today is our last day here at North Beach Park and Campground and we’re not exactly sure what we’re going to do so you’ll have to check us out tomorrow to find out. Until then, “May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back, and may the sun shine warm upon your face.” (taken from an old Irish Blessing)
