Winding Down In Burlington

It was another slow start to our day.  We didn’t even get out of the house until high noon.  Then we walked the Burlington Bikeway into town.  It was a very scenic walk on another beautiful day up here in northern Vermont.

The Lake Champlain Classic Antique and Classic Boat Show was on with displays being set up in the park and classic boats tied up around the Boathouse.

After walking about the docks and drooling over some of those classic boats, we headed over to the snack shop for another Maple Creamee.  These were no where near as flavorful as the ones we had at the Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks but, still good on a hot summer’s afternoon.

We walked home again where we rested for about an hour before heading out for another swimming session.  Today the wind was blowing onto the beach causing big waves to roll in.  We played tag with the waves for awhile before returning home for a nice baked spaghetti casserole.

Have I ever told you that one of the best parts of this fulltime lifestyle is meeting new people?  “Oh Lordy, and how many times you have!!!”  Alrighty then, we’ve met some more terrific folks who are our next door neighbors, Louis and Catherine from Baltimore, Maryland.  Over the past several days we’ve had a great time getting to know them.  Louis has his own business as a millwright and Catherine is a law partner practicing business law.  They have been a fun couple to get to know and we’ve enjoyed visiting with them.

Last night it was another movie, My Great Big Fat Greek Wedding, before hitting the hay.  What a great relaxing day to end our stay here at North Beach Park and Campground in Burlington, Vermont.  Needless to say, we’ve enjoyed our visit to this area and there is still plenty more to see and do in this great little state, however, we have to save some for another time.

Today it’s onto Lake George Escape to meet up with our workamping buddies of the past and spend some time “camping”.  So, we will catch ya tomorrow from Lake George, New York.
