Hey kids, guess what time it is? It’s Howdy Doody….. Nope, no it’s not. It’s M-I-C….. Nope, wrong again. I know, I know. It’s Mardi Gras Celebration time at Rainbow Plantation. There ya go!! It’s time for friends, it’s time for fun, it’s time for food, and it’s time for frolicking about the Rainbow Kingdom. There will be merriment through out the land, there will be dinners, there will be parades, there will be skits, there will be pranks, there will be an auction, and there will a King and a Queen ruling over all the mayhem. Don’t be late, grab your date, and come on down.
The festivities were kicked off last night with a spaghetti dinner, the coronation of the King and Queen, music with a live band, and a dance with around 240 people in attendance. Things get underway again this morning at oh seven thirty hours with breakfast with the Monarchs and, then, something will be taking place everyday right up through Fat Tuesday when all the merriment comes to a conclusion.
But don’t get the idea that nothing will be happening after Mardi Gras. After a day’s rest on Wednesday, there will be a Escapees dinner at Road Kill Café on Thursday, a concert taking place on Friday, and an RV seminar on Saturday. We won’t even get into the following week, but there will be more going on then we have calendar space.
Judy and I worked in the kitchen serving dinner last night so we didn’t take our camera to get some pictures but we will over the next several days, so hang in there. It’s time for us to get ready to go to the clubhouse for breakfast with the King and to frolic some more.
Be Sure To Have Some Fun and May God Bless - - - - - - - -
