We did, in fact, have an easy non-eventful travel day to Bluff City. By one o’clock we were in our site and all set-up. The temps were in the 80’s but the humidity was so high that I managed to soak one shirt with sweat while packing up in Heiskell and another one while setting up in Bluff City – aaahhh, the sweet, sweat smell of success!
Lakeview RV Park appears to be fairly new with full hook-up, level, reasonably sized sites. It’s a Passport America park so we get the half price rate which is twenty bucks a night. We were assigned a site with views of the lake right from our patio; neat huh? The only issue with this park is that there are no trees so, with this heat and humidity it tends to get a tad bit warm.
Today we’ll be entertaining. Jenny and her new hubby, Don, will be dropping by for a visit later this afternoon. We’ve never met Jenny face to face but have communicated with her via the internet over the past three years. She was an RV-Dreams wannabee, however, life happens and she’s now living a different dream. We’re looking forward to hearing her story when we finally get together.
Tomorrow we’ll be taking a day trip so stand by for a history lesson and a little story telling on Wednesday; oh yes, there’ll be a photo or two as well.
