Whachu think? Is tending grand children all that it’s cracked up to be? Yep, it is! The little monsters weren’t little monsters at all. They were just as good as gold. Even the dawg behaved itself.
It’s amazing how fast these little kids are growing. It seems like just the other day we were witnessing the birth of grand child number six, now he’s a mobile unit who is a very busy little person indeed. Kalina is growing quickly as well; she’s getting tall and she’s a little chatter box.
Catia is in the first grade and has a reading level beyond anything we’d could imagine. When I was in the first grade I was reading, “See Spot run. Run Spot run.” But not Catia. She’s reading “chapter books” with words like “astronauts” and “experimental” as well as comprehending what it all means. Boy, it doesn’t take long at all for these kids to grow up.
So, that was our yesteday – taking care of the grandkids. Then we stopped by the Publix on our way home to pick up some milk and a couple other things. Once we returned home, we just “vegged out” while reading, watching the news, and playing on our ‘puters. Beddy bye came early and here we are sitting in our recliners and sucking down our morning coffee.
Catia has a soccer game today if it doesn’t get rained out. Right now it’s pouring outside, but it’s supposed to stop any minute now so by nine o’clock the rain should be long gone. We’ll see. But, that’s why we’re here, to spend time in our grand children’s lives.
Well, that’s it for today. So, May God Bless - - - - - - - - - -
