A Farewell To Friends

We’ve had another “turn over” year here on East Traveler Street with seven leased sites becoming available during the 2010/2011 year (years run from July to July).  Yesterday we went to dinner with Bill and Kathy McRoberts who will be leaving for good on Friday.  They have had their site for five years, however, last summer they purchased a house in Wisconsin and are now making the change from fulltime to part time RVers.

Bill and Kathy are, also, SOWERs who plan to continue volunteering for projects over the next few years.  We’ll keep in touch with them and hopefully will meet up with them on a SOWERs project somewhere in the future.  That would certainly be a good thing.

Today, Mike and Peggy are “hitting the road” heading west (it’s waaaaaay to early to even think of heading north).  But, like we shared yesterday, we’ll be spending time with them in Maine this summer.  Yesterday afternoon we joined them once again for “Martini Time”.  I’m sure gonna miss the “Martini Time” with Mikee (although, I don’t even like martinis – just make mine a screwdriver).  It has been great to have them here with us at Rainbow Plantation; we’ve had a lot of good times together, to say the least.

So, it’s Happy Trails to both couples, however, we’re looking forward to more good times with each of them down the road, once we get back to Wandering America.

Take Care Until Next Time - - - - - -
