A Rainy Night In Georgia

Actually, it was a rainy day in Georgia as well.  I managed to get soaked while escorting school classes around the North Rim of the Gorge.  Judy was smart, she worked the visitor’s desk.  It’s surprising how many people are willing to walk in the rain to catch a view of Tallulah Gorge.  I must admit that it’s “sho’ ‘nuff purddy” even on a rainy day when you can see the fog lifting up out of the Gorge. The Grand Chasm at Tallulah GorgeWhile I was outside playing in the rain, West was inside playing with the snakes – I’d rather get wet.  Here is West with Honey the corn snake.  Snakes don’t tend to pose very well for a picture.West and HoneyThe rain subsided just before sunset and I thought that we would have some nice sunset pics to share but, the clouds dissipated just as the sun was setting behind the mountains.Sunset From Our SiteSo, we’ll leave you there for today.
