A Beautiful Day

Oh what a beautiful morning,
Oh what a beautiful day,
I've got a wonderful feeling,
Everything's going my way.

Yep, “there's a bright golden haze on the meadow” and it’s going to be one of the top ten days this week.  This spring weather just continues on – ya gotta luv it!!!

Yesterday we managed to strike one more item off the Ol’ Ta Do List – restrung the dining room day night shade.  That one’s a toughie since it is 60” long.  You have to be especially diligent so as to not pinch one of the strings while reassembling the dang thing.  In any event, it’s restrung and rehung – Yay Team!!

We, also, updated the February actual expenditures in our budget and looked ahead to the March budget projections.  We have overspent in our food and fuel budget for the year so far (Jan and Feb) and overspent in our “campgrounds” budget for the month (that’s for electric cost), but we have 10 more months to bring the budget back in line.  Not sure exactly how we’re going to do it, but we’re not the Federal Gummint so deficit spending is not an option.  I see more sitting in one place, boondocking, and casseroles in our future!!

We attended the four o’clock Social Time, watched NCIS, and did a little reading – pretty much a run-of-the-mill, routine day here at the Plantation.

Today I’ll start reworking the cabinet under the desk.  While I’m at it, I want to rewire the electric outlet for the router so it will be powered when we switch over to the inverter power.  Also, I’m not sure what the issue is with our printer.  We just purchased new ink for it and now it won’t print – can something be “cleaned” or will it need replacing?  Only time will tell.

So, that’s about it for today.  Take Care Until Next Time - - - - - -

  1. Where do you find the cord to restring the blind, and is it difficult to do?

  2. Hi Anonymous,
I have heard the best thing to use for re-stringing blinds is heavy duty fishing line.
