Well, I’m struggling today. Writer’s block and nothing really new to write about is a tough combination. Yesterday was Sunday which means Sunday School and Worship in the morning. We spent the afternoon relaxing and reading before grilling some chicken. The evening was spent watching a little television and, before you knew it, it was time to toddle off to bed.
Now, a little about grilling the chicken. Something that makes chicken nice and tasty is marinating it for a few hours in Zesty Italian Salad Dressing before tossing it onto the grill. We’ve, also, been using Heartland Chicken that comes in a box of five to seven skinless, boneless breasts. It is individually wrapped and a whole lot more tender than Walmart’s other chicken breasts. A little more expensive but the tenderness and taste make it worth the extra cost.
A couple of years ago we bought a Sanyo Smokeless Indoor Electric Grill that we use for grilling. Even though it is not entirely smokeless, we can still use it indoors in any event. It does a good job, but we still prefer the charcoal grill when it comes to adding flavor to our food. The Sanyo allows us to grill during inclement weather conditions or when we’re just to darned lazy to dig out all the stuff required for charcoaling.
Anyway, we had the grilled chicken and some of Duke’s baked beans with just a touch of barbeque sauce added for flavor. It was a yummy meal that was really simple to make. Well, thar ya have it for today. What can I say, some days you get chicken, other days you get feathers. I guess today it’s feathers.
