Baby’s Here, Baby’s Really Here!!!

I guess all it took was for Grandma and Grandma to show up.  Once baby Fortner heard our voices, he knew it was time to “head for the light”.  He did give his mother a rough time of it though; her water broke just after mid night and he didn’t make the scene until 6:36 PM on September 17, 2012.  Little stinker!!!  Anyway, Josiah Everette Fortner weighed in at seven pounds and three ounces, nineteen inches long, and with a full head of hair.  Happy Birthday grand child number seven.  Mother and child are both doing well.  I’m sure there will be more photos to follow in the coming days.

Grandma and Grandpa were on hand, well in the waiting room, when Josiah made his grand entrance into this world and we able to visit with the little tike and his mom within an hour of his birth.  How exciting.  Originally we hadn’t expected to see him until he would have been six weeks old.  But, we left Hearthside Grove early to baby sit our Tennessee brood and Josiah held off until we arrived in Alexandria.  How thoughtful.

Aunt Katie and Uncle Alex are just shaking their heads.  They think they are already up to their tail bones in nephews and nieces (i.e., our grand kids).  They’re thinking of more invasion of their privacy by little people.  But, we’re quite sure they’ll adjust just fine.  In the words of my Grandmother Riley, “Josiah, don’t be plaguing the katts.”

The people who were in site D-10, which is a full hook up site, left a day early so we were able to switch sites yesterday afternoon which was a good thing because we are due for some nasty, nasty weather today.  Once we were situated into the site and hooked up, I pulled the lever on the bath water holding tank and, voila, it worked. Not sure why it didn’t dump while we were at Bull Run but, at least it’s dumping now.  That means that we can use our washing machine and scrub our bodies clean in our own shower.  Aah, there’s peace in the valley once again.

Also, the other day the “Service Engine Soon” light came on in the truck.  We began by checking the little things first.  I removed and retightened the gas cap, that didn’t work.  So the next thing was to check the air filter.  It didn’t appear to be too dirty, however, after cleaning some leaves out of the filter housing and pounding a little “dirt” out of the filter, the light went out.  So, we replaced filter with a new one; a cheap fix.

Here’s a couple pictures of our site here at Prince William RV Park which used to be named Travel Trailer Village.  Notice that we had to park at an angle just to fit into the site.

So, once again, Baby’s here, Baby’s really here!!!  Hallelujah, Baby’s here!!!  Happy Birthday Josiah Everette Fortner.

May God Bless  - - - - - - - -
