Monday began with a trip to Mike and Peggy’s café, launderette, and lube center (there’s even free WIFI, if you need it). After enjoying a nice home cooked breakfast, doing a load of laundry, and changing the oil in the truck, we made our way home to get cleaned up (at least one of us needed to get cleaned up after crawling under the truck) so we could go out and hit a few stores.
Yesterday afternoon it was Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells as Judy and I did some of our 2011 Christmas shopping. If you remember, from years past, we like to get the Christmas shopping for the New Hampshire grand kids done while we are in New England. That way we save on both taxes and shipping costs. Just a couple more items to pick up today and we’ll be done on this end.
Mike, Peggy, Judy, and I made our way to the Block and Tackle Diner in Cundy’s Harbor for dinner. All I’ll say about that is, “another thing crossed off the old Bucket List”. If you’ve never eaten at the Block and Tackle, then you’ve not missed a darned thing. We were disappointed to say the least. Oh well, sometimes you get chicken; sometimes you get feathers.
Today its clean up the RV, finish up the shopping, and get ready to roll. We’ll stop by Mike and Peggy’s later today to say farewell and then it will be one more sleep before leaving the Pine Tree State. We’ve been in Maine since the end of April and it’s time to move on. Grand kid fix tomorrow.
