A True Art Form

Bill Cosby said it best when he said, “I ate breakfast with my kids . . . . once!”  Well, I’m here to tell you that lunch with grand kids ain’t a whole lot better.  It’s pretty amazing to see what two little munchkins can do to a couple of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  I can assure you that there was more on the outside than on the inside.  If this continues they’ll never have a weight problem.

Who Me? It Couldn't Be!

Now eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich correctly is a true art.  First, you disassemble the sandwich.  Next, you scrape the peanut butter and jelly off using your lower teeth.  Then, you eat the bread being very careful not to eat any crust.  If you eat crust then you’ll have nightmares and monsters will crawl out from under your bed and get you.  Besides grandpa, who wants hair on their chest anyway?

Speaking of hair, didcha notice Rocco’s hair-do?  No need for Brylcreem here, just some strawberry jelly and your Mohawk is set for the day.  And, “A Little Dab’ll Do Ya!”

Now you see why it is always a good idea to feed “the kids” first and then sit down for a nice quiet meal with no interruptions (umm, maybe).  No wonder grand parents drink lots of wine with their meal – it helps get rid of the whine!!

It would be a whole lot easier to deal with 240 volts with the breaker still on than dealing with these two live wires.  Before you can get one mess cleaned up, they’ve created two more – sheesh, they’re faster than greased lighting.  And, what one doesn’t think of, the other one has already done.  You’d need to baby sit these two with a pair of roller skates on.  We just sit back and watch their parents deal with it all and smile – It’s payback time.  I just love it when a plan comes together!
