A Cure For Insomnia

Last night was a restless night indeed.  A little after mid night, I decided to take the Man Quilt for a test drive in my recliner.  I can tell ya one thing right now.  That blanket is completely filled with zzzz’s and insomnia doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance in some very hot climates.  It’s not actually complete yet as it is still in the “fringing” stage – lots and lots of clipping needed.  Next it has to be washed at least once, if not twice.  Then it will be nice and soft and conforming.  But warm and cuddly, I guess it’s warm and cuddly.

After taking a nice midnight nap under the Man Quilt, I was wide awake.  Miss Judy was, also, up and about.  It was only a little after three, but Judy made some coffee anyway and we began our day.  However, I did sneak back to bed at around five for another hour’s worth of sleep.  Someone’s in the kitchen with Momma, it’s Alex.  He stayed up and kept Momma company while the ol’ man was snoring.

We are about a week late in leaving Rainbow Plantation as all our friend are rolling in and now we hate the thought of leaving.Sad smile  Yesterday evening was another impromptu outing at Big Daddy’s.  The quilting ladies decided to take their husbands “under arms” and meet around the table at BD’s.  When we were walking in, we bumped into Jim and Ellie walking out; they had just arrived and had to take care of “Feed Me”.  Of course, Bill and Diane had arrived on Monday so we sat with them.   Randy and Terry will arrive Sunday, just before we leave on Monday.  Oh well, it is what it is.  Just like Schwarzenegger, we’ll be back.
